My son informs me that his computer wont boot. he says that when he switched on he got the compaq logo up then the windows xp window came up...all as normal then he got a blue screen and the computer started rebooting again up to the point of the windows xp screen and again he got a blue screen and the computer started rebooting again etc and again etc. he has managed to press f8 and try 'last known good configuration' joy still does the same. has tried 'safe mode' but says all he gets is a list of 'something' which he doesn't know. Running XP Pro , P4 1.5 processor.

Try to bot win with your xp cd and click on the repair option, it might repair the fault. Did you by any chance installed a graphic card recently?
