Computer will not recognise its xp2000 processor

  nelliehob 12:46 05 May 03

I have a a PCchips 810LMR mother board and an XP2000+ processor. The problem is when i go into the bios and try to make it recognise the processor the PC freezes when I boot up. It works fine when I leave the settins at 1244MHZ.
Is it a MB fault or do I need to upgarde the bios and if so how?

Thanks for the help, how do you load it into the bios?

With great caution. I have successfully flashed my 810 bios & am now running the XP 2000+.

Click on the first link that was provided by huggy, scroll down the page to section 21 & print out the instructions, read them, re read them. prepare everything needed as described.

From begining to end it should take you just a couple of minutes & all will be well.

Further to huggy's link's, this link provides the bios file 030103s.rom which is the file I used.
