Hi I have win XP home a P4 2.6 1024m Ram my computer has just started to
randomly refuse to start up. It shows the win xp start up screen with the
colour bar travelling along then half way through it just freezes. I
manually switch of . when I turn back on I get the "win had a problem "
screen and i attempt to start in safe mode and it wont. After an hour or so
I try a gain and all is ok.
any ideas
Thanks

When the PC has booted up insert the Windows XP CD and then click Start, Run and enter sfc \scannow and click OK

This will check and update any damaged system files.
