Computer restarts after shutdown

I am using windows XP SP2 and for no reason I know of it has begun to restart when I try to shut it down. I ensure the shut down is selected but it does not make any difference. Can anyone help?

Do you have Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.0 or Direct CD 5.0 program installed on your computer?

Yes I have but this was installed about two years ago so should not be the cause

click here Select your current version and see if updates are available. If you don`t know open the Roxio product and go to Help>about in both cases for Easy CD and CD Creator.

Sorry. If it`s V5 just look in Easy CD. You will need to register if you haven`t already done so. Note also the comments on Stalions link about Easy CD upgrade. (Not sure if it`s of concern because if you don`t upgrade you`ll never find out and Easy CD is the cause of over half the problems!)
