try and hold down either f8 or the shift key and come up in safe mode

right click my computer go to the advanced tab, go down to start up & recovery settings and take the tick out of automatic restart.

Doing this will stop the reboot and allow you to read the screen.

In XP, Windows key+pause key will take you to System Properties, then as above.
