computer names on a network

I have a setup in my office whereby 1 PC is connected to the router via Ethernet cable and another 2 PC's connected via wifi. It all works as the PC's are named PC1, PC2 AND PC3.
If I have a visitor with a portable and wifi capability and they want to connect from say my lounge, garden or their bedroom etc, they will have to name their portable PC4!
It's one way for sure but is there a workaround?
How do hotels, guest houses get around it? Is the security key disabled and possibly thus allowing anyone to connect?
Advice welcome, and thanks in advance as usual.

You only need unique computer names if you set up a workgroup to share files, etc. not to connect to the internet.

Hmm. Thanks BurrWalnut.
Maybe I am confusing the situation as I did set up for file sharing once but some time ago.
OK, thanks.
