Please can anyone help me?
I was using Zonealarm and A.V.G.but something has taken over my computer that they failed to block
or find.Everytime I go on the net emails to persons I have never heard of fly of my comp.
as fast as my broadband conn.can sent them.
I removed Zonealarm and A.V.G. and installed Norton Security. This found an auto dialer and two files called FILEES which it removed.
Things were o.k. for half an hour but now Norton is again blocking (more succesfully than zonealarm) email after email so much so that the alerts eventualy fill my screen ( I am writing this offline) Any ideas what is happening?
Thanks,
Tony.

And if you are using an OS with System Restore, run the scans with System Restore disabled.

Re-enable System Restore once you have finished scanning.

"Sorry to seem thick, but how do I know if I am running system restore?"

At the risk of sounding rude, I think that it might be wise if you learned a little bit more about your OS before delving into the mysteries of malware.
