Computer goes straight into bios setup

I've had a call from a non-techy mate whose computer has startd playing up. It apparently goes striaght into the bios setup utility and he gets stuck there.
It turns out that the keyboard got drenched in wine before this happened. I'm thinking that therefore the keyboard is the cuse and has somehow got the delete key jammed on.
Does this sound likely or are there other likely explanations?
I am going over there later this afternoon to attempt to sort it. I'll be taking a spare keyboard. any other ideas about this problem?

Keyboard fault most likely....

sticky keys my bet.

More help needed...
I've replaced the keyboard and that's sorted out the sticky keys, but the system still goes straight into BIOS setup utility. So then It hs to be instructed to quit this and then it goes into Windows.
I've reset the BIOS to default settings, but it makes no difference.
I'm stumped.Howvere, there was a power cut yesterday when teh machine was on. Could that have affected it?
Any other ideas welcome, please,

have you tried system restore?

Try a BIOS reset.

There may be a jumper to clear the BIOS back to facotry setting or you can remove the CMOS battery for a while to rest the BIOS.
