computer freezes

About every 15 minutes my computer or IE freezes.
It works OK for 15 minutes then the pages freeze for about 2 minutes than unfreeze and when you click the IE button again the button freezes in. Then you have to reboot. When it loads again you get about 15 min than get the same problem.
I have installed no programs or done anything. I can not restore it as system restore doesn't work.
I have run the spy-ware programs.

Anything else you would suggest please.

try running internet explorer with no add ons.

how do I do that?

start-all programs-accessories-system tools and click on internet explorer(no addons)if this stops the freezing you will have to re-enable your add ons 1 by 1 to see which is causing the problem

If the PC freezes then it could be a ram module going bad. Try memtest; click here

If only IE7 freezing then use task manager to end task.

When it freezes even task manager stops working.

it may be worth trying system restore in safe mode (keep tapping f8 on start up) if that doesn't fix it you could run malwarebytes and superantispyware in safe mode.also ccleaner will clean up if you havn't done that for a while.all 3 can be downloaded fromclick here
