My computer crashes 2 or 3 times a day and reboots immediately. Have up to date virus checkers, Spywareblaster and Pest Patrol and Zonealarm. Changed PSU thinking it may be loss of power. No change. Got the following message:-

There is a PCChips mobo discussion site click here I have spent a bit of time there and a number of the M848 mobos have a bug that causes minor problems. I have recently built a test rig based on an M848ALU which steadfastly refuses to recognise a Sempron chip as a Sempron.

Before you flash the bios, keep in mind that the CMOS chip is soldered on to this board, so if the flash goes pear-shaped you are in big trouble as you cannot just replace the CMOS chip.

Fruit Bat /\0/\ - an interesting link which I will look at. It looks as if I should find a newer version of win32K.sys. Any sources you could advise?

Rtus - Been working smoothly for 8 months, then it went wrong in December. This seems to tie in with a windows update. I have now loaded an older version of win32k.sys and will report back
