Compressing WAV files

Hi Guys!
Anyone know how i can compress WAV files to burn to CD? Have Nero Express to burn with but the audio tape I copied onto my hard drive is 356mb on one side and 520mb on the other. Obviously i want to get both sides onto the cd but would need to compress the files to do it as cd is only 700mb
Am using a trial version of PolderbitS to copy & edit etc. Any ideas? Robco

I doubt whether that is possible, but if it is they probably wouldn't play back in a CD player.

I do the same thing but I use LP Ripper to split the wav file back into separate tracks and then make my own compilation CD(s). LP Ripper can be got from click here

You could try converting them to MP3 which might possibly get them on to one CD, but you then need a CD player that can play MP3. I have done that once and then play them back on my DVD player which accepts MP3.
