HI All

I have a WAV file which is only 29 seconds but 5MB in size.

How can I convert this file to make it less than 5MB, should this file be MP3 am I thinking on the correct lines?

Thanks for your help.

You are thinking on the right lines...

I fyou have NERO cd burning, it normally comes with "Nero Wave Editor". (Look for it on the Start Menu... it installs automatically. Not sure if this applies with a bundled version)

With this you can Open the wav file then save it as an mp3. However, I think you can only do this a limited number of times without paying for the codec software.

Alternatively you can also do it with "Audacity". This is free audio software that can handle mp3s. You do have to set it up to handle mp3s... I can't remember what you have to do, as I did it a while ago... but the setup instructions, via the "Help" are clear, and it's simple.
