Compressed files/folders in WinXP

Can anyone tell me if there is a way of changing the settings for compressing files in XP? I use the 'right click' and 'send to' compressed (zipped) folder option quite a lot, but WinZip and other stand alone applications let you alter the level of compression.

I don't think you can, if you want more control you need another Zip application to handle your compressed files.
