complete crash

On rebooting from Vista SP1 download my Medion PC will not boot. I have tried the recovery disc but the m/c does not see the DVD drive to pick up the disc info. Hence I cannot reinstall Windows Vista O.S.either. I have checked the bios but it does not list the drives by name it only states SATA and they are all greyed out and inaccessible.
At the moment the m/c is useless I would appreciate some help

Turn off unplug from wall and hold in power switch for 30 secs.

Attempt to reboot if still same see if you can then get into BIOS and in the menu for Boot order can you see the DVD drive (you DVD drive my be a sata device if a newish machine).

Sata Drivers may be corrupt, it sounds liker it

You could try reloading the drivers for Sata using a Memory stick and change boot order to USB stick

Also, have you tried disconnecting one drive at a time, then try reboot to see if any one drive shows as faulty
