I use TMPEG Authering program for it's speedy and easy VIDEO editing. However, the version I have does not do AUDIO editing.
I also have Serifs Movie Plus X3, and whilst it is excellent for Audio editing, I find the VIDEO editing so slow and also rather fragile - breathe on the blue vertical line and your starter line disappears!
I have just tried to convert my .TDA ( TMPEG) to a "universal" format by using Any Video Converter, but it just throws it out.
Or is there a wonderful program out there that does both?

Why cant you save or export your files in tmpeg as avi or Mpeg2 thats rubbish if it can only work in one format. What exactly are you editing and its source and this to ultimately to go on dvd. There are plenty of programmes out there that will do both adequately
Have alook at the Magix range even older therefore cheaper Versions like 10 or 11 .Or the ulead or adobe editors
