Comparison between HP inkjet printers

I am debating whether to buy an HP Photosmart 7350 or 7550 to produce good quality digital photo prints. Is there a techie out there who can advise if these are basically (from a print point of view) the same spec machines? Obviously the 7550 does more, but it strikes me if you are happy using a PC to manipualte your photos before printing the 7550 is an over-specd luxury with freatures that are unnecessary.
I read somewhere that the 7550 needs Windows XP as a minimum operating system. Is this so or will it function with W98? No response from HP to thse same queries! Any advice appreciated!
