Comparing grahics cards

As a general rule of thumb (I realise it depends on what you want to do with the card, among other things), which would be the most powerful out of the following?

64Mb Geforce Ti 4200
128Mb Geforce FX5200
128Mb Radeon 9200

Thinking of upgrading my card and these seem to be within my budget.

Ti 4200 will be a slightly faster card than the other two.

both the Ti and the 9200 are direct x8.1 cards.the fx5200 is a direct x9 card but will still be slower.

you can still use direct x9 with the 8.1 cards though,in fact new games will now require you to install it in order to run, regardless of the card installed.

ps.should have said try and get a 128mb version.64 is a bit low and 256 is a waste.

look at the clock speeds(MHZ)for chip and memory.

higher number is better/faster.
