A friend of mine has one of these old machines running on an P3. He knock it and heard a bang.

Thinking that the PSU had blown (?) he managed to sourced a spare one and fitted it but nothing is happening when you push the on/off button.

On the mobo itself a green light is showing but nothing else is happening apart from a clicking sound from the speaker.

Could the 'bang' be he's blown the mobo board itself hence that even putting a new PSU in its as dead as a dodo.

Cheers

try shorting the cmos (with the power off) then rebooting if you do not get post beeps then it may well be dead, if you get post beeps then count them as they give a clue as to what is happening
