Compact Flash Reading Problems

  NWEastender 22:08 08 Oct 03

My Lexar 128MB CompactFlash memory card worked fine yesterday when I was viewing some photo's on my computer. However now the card is not recognised in either the camera or the PC, I cannot therefore even re-format the card. Is there any way that I can get the photo's off the card myself or do I need to send it somewhere to access/mend the card professionally?

If your PC does not recognise the card then you have problems, but try this freeware recovery program click here

Thanks (hssutton) for this link, tried it but to no avail. I have heard of a program called Image Recall. Has anyone got any experience of this product? It retails for £24.99 but is it worth the money?

I have a copy of Digital Image Recovery, got it free from a link posted on this site somewhere.could email it to you only 640kb,will need a card reader for it to work and it will get images from a formatted card but if the card is not showing on your comp or camera then it could be kaputt.
