Combining/Merging Word docs

My business partner inists on sending me different chapters of his reports in separate Word files, some of which contain fancy tables. I want to add/combine the documents/files into a single document file. Cut n paste seems to cock up the table format, besides he might have 30-40 chapters. Is there a quick way to combine?
