Is this combination OK?

I have heard that 2 or more Anti Viruses/Firewalls is not good.

I just wanted to ask you people is this combination is ok, as I cant decide:

-->Avast Home edition Anti Virus
-->A Squared Free
-->McAfee Personal Desktop Firewall (the blue shield with orange flame)
-->Spybot-Search and Destroy

Thanks. =).

Your choice of firewall leaves something to be desired, but the rest is functional, effective and conflict-free.

Rather than A Squared Free i would install and use spybot click here

Spybot is already on the list and A-squared is known to be a good trojan scanner.

I see no problems with what you have listed, personally I have AVG anti virus, Zone Alarm firewall, adaware and counterspy. Counterspy is only free for 15 days and thereafter you have to pay about £12 a year, I like it but there lots of other free alternatives available.
Only one I have no knowledge of is the McAfee firewall, no idea how effective it is as I've never used it.

Some people said that Avast is not that good, shall i replace it with a different one?

Avast, in my opninion, is better than most "pay for" anti-virus tools

I have been using it for almost a year now, and it has blocked almost every virus I have had since using it, before it even got onto my system (blocking a website from sending the file(s))

Ok, So, Ill stick with Avast. =)
