colour inkjet printer wont print black

Epson colour stylus 760 quit printing in black after installing new (compatible) cartridge.
Have tried all combinations of print head cleaning except application of cleaning fluid.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I've been successfully using compatible cartridges for nearly 3 years without problems.
Epson will not help because I'm not using their cartridges, for well known reasons.

They should be fit for the purpose they were sold for. Contact them would be the first thing to do. If that doesn't bear fruit, just buy from more from someone else. Westlake's (click here) compatibles were fine for me, and they replaced a faulty cartridge promptly. Choice Stationery are often recommended for Epson compatibles.

the problem with some printers is there inkjet heads are in the printer and not on the cartridge
so they can get blocked and they are not worth
fixing . i used to have an epson 500 it stop printing colour in the end it was cheaper
to replace it with an epson 760 like yours.
a printer that can do the same kind of quality as your 760 will only cost you £50 or less
so it ends up being cheaper to replace
even with problems i would still by epson

good luck
