colour coding sheet tabs in Exel

From the May issue of pc advisor page 165 it describes how to colour code sheet tabs. When I click on format>sheet> there is no Tab Colour available only Rename>Hide>Background.I have looked elsewhere but cannot find Tab Colour.
Can you help?

This feature is only available in Excel 2002 and later.

Thats all there is to it. Right click on the actual tab and the 2nd option from the bottom is tab colour

is, of course, correct. However, I have a feeling that even when it is available it's via a right click on the tab itself.

Obviously, as usual, I'm open to correction here!
(Using Excel 200)

Either right click the tab, Tab color... or Format|Sheet|Tab color... will work.
