CODEC conundrum

  cherria 14:22 24 Apr 03

Windows media player 8.0 has suddenly stopped playing mp3s saying that the required codec is not available. other media programs will play mp3s so something has gone wrong with WMP.

Does anybody have any thoughts?

Im using XP pro

You could try upgrading to Mediaplayer 9.

Many seem not to like these upgrades but personally I've never found a problem.
