codec causing error messages

I keep getting MSN Explorer error messages which after reporting to MSN says are caused by the Lame mp3 codec but I cant find the codec to remove it

How can I find and remove the codec

lame is probably installed with one of you CD ripping or audio related applications, version 3.90.6 is buggy, better with version 3.90.3.

You can goto:

start, search, for files and folders then type in "lame*.*" without the quotes which should find it.

Note: if you find the file and delete it, the application that it relates to will no longer work...

PS: when your post doesn't respond immediately when you click on "post response" don't keep clicking or you'll end up repeatedly posting to the forum :~)
