Clone a HDD

Existing HDD = 200GB IDE, New HDD = 250GB SATA.
Does it require additional software to "copy" old to new thus releasing old for another PC? If not, how to do? ;-)

Ooops - should have Googled first.

If just data files then will copy over with windows explorer.

If Op system and programs then you will need something like Acronis true immage

Thanks guys. What I would like to do, with the minimum of brain strain, is something like "copy this to here" - moving all of old "C" to new "C".
I will have a look at XXClone, thanks.
