Clock Symbol in emails

Purely by chance I have discovered that if I type the following (0) i.e. open bracket, zero, close bracket - in an outgoing Windows Live email message it transforms itself into a clock. It doesn't do it in Word 2010 or in PagePlus 6. Any thoughts as to why and if it serves any purpose?

The message self-destructs in 5 seconds

Incidentally the clock is set to 3 o'clock if that helps pin it down.

Possibly WLM's auto-correct which apparently isn't the same as Word.
