I have just noticed an icon in my windows startup folder called clip9 internet shortcut. It was created in October.
Can anyone tell me what this does?
Is it suspicious?

is there a web address for it?

I have been searching google and can find nothing. Have you ran all the usual scans? Have you tried right clicking it and looking at the properties?

SG Atlantis,
Its website is:

I think it might be a trojan dialler.
My security software said it was trying to dial.
Is this right?
Should I delete it?

It doesn't go anywhere - I would delete it.

yeah I agree with VoG.

VoG,
I have deleted it.
(It is in the recycle bin.)
I hope that as I have broadband a trojan dialler cannot run up a big telephone bill for me.
Can anyone confirm this, please?

yes. dialers won't work unless there's a modem connected.
