what is "Client for Microsoft Networks" do i need it my computer is not on a netwok can i safely remove it ,my internet connection is via dial up

if im correct it is just network related. id check on google though and make sure seems ur on dial up.

It is the client software for accessing resources in other computers in a local area network. You won't gain anything by removing it, but you can if you want and, if necessary, it can be reinstalled by clicking the "Install" button and selecting "client".

I wanted to know this too. It isn't needed click here and it will secure your system more if you disable it.
