Clicking noise when opening new web page

Is there any way to remove the clicking when IE opens a new page or window? When I've got the speakers on for listening to music, every web link I click on generates an audible click which I'd like to get rid of if possible.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Open control panel-sounds,speach and audio devices-change the sound scheme, choose sounds the drop down box, choose no sounds,or configure to how you like and save changes
