"click here" links How to?

How does one show a "click here" link to a site in order to help answer a question? Answers on a postcard please !! OK only joking

Just type the web address and the site turns it into a link

eg www. ford.com

But without the space of course!

To do this I simply went back to the string listed in the forum- right clicked the title- clicked 'copy link' came back to this reply box and right clicked paste.-- for more complex issues though as i was making the point, how do you remember where the link you need is stored?
