Clearing the copy board

Of late when working with copy/paste routines- I find the the copy board not only delivers to the new location the current copy but also the previous one also.
Which means I have be eagle eyed before posting stuff.
Sometimes however I still miss bits and some of my posts here for example- have chunks of unrelated text in the middle of something.
So what needs to be done to ensure the copy board clears after each new copy?

Start, run, type

clipbrd

and click OK. That will show you what is on the clipboard and there is an X button to delete it.
