Cleaning registry

  mikeyb59 19:47 09 Feb 03

After 14 months of problem free use of XP I am trying to tidy up the system.

A few of the apps I want to remove do not appear in add/remove programs.

My question is - can I just delete the folders containing these items and is there a reliable way of removing any left-over registry entries?

I await your comments with interest!

Registry backup is recommended before deleting anything in the registry.

Try the "regclean" utility available as a download from this site.

NOT Regclean for XP - you want RegleanER from jvi6 - better still get the JV16PowerTools of which Regcleaner is a component.
