Clean Install-Windows 7

I’m about to do a clean install using Windows 7 Ultimate, having unsuccessfully tried to overcome problems with my XP Professional system. On recommendations from this forum I did repair XP, but still the many and varied problems persisted. Having backed-up my work files including .dbx and .pst files/folders, I’m wondering if there’s anything else or any pitfalls I should be aware of before reformatting my hard drive. Your advice please.

Check for any drivers for Windows 7 for your various components, including motherboard, on all the manufacturers websites if you can. Download them and burn to CD so that you have got them available when you install your new system.
