First go into BIOS and make sure Anti-Virus turned of, If that's not the Problem then I would Say ether Overheating CPU, or Bad Memory

Have you Partitioned and Formatted C:\ drive

I have set primary partition & formatted the new drive.
Would the bad memory be my ram?.

  woodchip 22:32 17 Jul 04

yes if you have more than one stick remove one at a time and try setup the memory should be in the first slot this may be 0 or 1

Woodchip,
I'll try it & let you know.

Thanks

What would help is also to remove all unnecessary hardware until you have Windows loaded. Then load one at a time but make sure power is off when you do install hardware

Woodchip,
I started up with just memory in bank 0 & it locked up stating:
stop 0x0000008E (0xc0000005,0x8060ab13,0xfe09b9fc,0x00000000)
Beginning dump of physical memory.
physical memory dump complete.
contact you system administrator or tech support group for further assistance.

I also tried it with the other ram block & the same happened & I also tried an old 64mb ram block I had & it also did the same.

Any ideas?
