Clean-up automation

Occasionally I want to give the Internet Tracks a flush-out.

Run CCleaner
Start->Settings->Control Panel
Internet Options
Delete Cookies
Delete Temporary Internet Files
Clear History

I could do with automating this to a single desktop icon, and was thinking VBScript could do it. But I can't see how to get VBS to interact with the applications CCleaner and Control Panel.

Any ideas the best and simplest way to achieve this ?

Have you looked at Ccleaner> Option> Settings?

You may find what you need in there.

Under "About", I mean.

Unless I am missing something, just running CCleaner in it's default mode does the whole job - ie deletes cookies, history and Temp Internet Files (TIF) and empties the recycle bin and also deletes index.dat (TIF history). I found a little extra to clear searches in the AVG search panel - if you have that I can give a link to add it to the CCleaner auto function.
