I ran the classic menu under XP sp1. Since upgrading to SP2 I am unable to change to the XP menus. Any ideas?

SP2 tends to tighten up everything in security terms. Dont know if this would affect changing menus though

Right Click the start button and select properties or have you tried this?

Yes. The only option available is Classic, and that's already selected

I had the same problem once. Go to the following registry keys :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer. Create a new Dword with the name NoSimpleStartMenu. Give it a value of 0 (zero).

Do exactly the same in the following key, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.

Reboot.
