I learnt CLAIT and word processing on Windows 95 and 98.

I still have the notes, but now I have windows xp, is it worth me holding onto them as they might be out of date.

Windows 95, 98 and XP are all operating system programs. Word processing programs are separate but are usually installed for you on your PC. Common ones are Write in MS Works, Word, WordPerfect (Coral), etc. The way they work are similar but each have their own way of doing things. So if you have the same program installed for which you have notes, then they are worth keeping. If your notes are very detailed and you have a different program installed, then they might not be too much help.
