Chrome/Adobe Reader conflict

I seem to have a conflict when trying to open a pdf link using Google Chrome - it takes ages while windows thinks about opening the page, and then the page is just blank.

I am running Reader 9.2, which I have uninstalled and re-installed - it works fine on pdf documents I have on my hard drive, but won't open in through the browser.

Any ideas?

I gave up using Adobe pdf reader sometime ago and now use Foxit click here which is free. It is a much smaller program than Adobe and does not conflict with chrome, at least on my PC.

Will give that a whirl - never been over-enamoured with Adobe Reader anyway and their updates are annoying
