choosing a wireless (NAS) harddrive solution

hi all

Am using a laptop on a broadband wireless LAN but am rapidly running out of storage space on the internal harddrive.

I use my laptop for all media (including tv programmes) and need a decent sized harddrive to put this stuff on without losing my mobility in the house (which I prize). I was looking into the Western Digital My Book World Edition 500GB to plug into my router for access - but have read very mixed responses. Anybody have one - recommend (or not?!). Any alternatives?

I want to store tv progs/series on it and then call up and watch anywhere in the house. It is fast enough to do this?

cheers

I use a Buffalo Linkstation as a NAS device and it works great.

Mine even has a USB print server in it. The linkstations are expandible by adding another USB HDD to it as well for more storage.
