I am running windows XP pro and i have just started getting a problem with a partition on my hard disk. Every time the poc boots up it scans the partition for errors as though it was set to with scandisk feature. At the end of the scan no problems are found. when the pc is in use a program I have for defragging (Disk keeper lite) continually brings up the error that the drive is flagged to be checked with CHKDSK and it cant run on it until it has been re-booted. any help to solve this would be much appreciated.

Have you tried right clicking on your hard drive, then Properties - Tools Tab - Error checking?

Yeah I thought that maybee the flag that set when you do that for the next reboot was just not resetting and tried to do it that way but no help.

What about uninstalling Disk keeper lite and trying the Microsoft one.

Start then RUN type in CMD click OK
In the command Prompt Box type in

chkntfs /x C

Where C is the is the drive letter its checking on boot.

Hiy Enter/Return.
