Chkdsk every boot !!!

It's been doing this for ages so I can't track back what may have caused it but every time I start- up (XP Home) I get a blue screen telling me I need chkdsk to run on my D drive and in order to skip the check I have to press any button. I usually skip but would love to skip this irritating stage altogether if anyone knows what's going on??

Thanx in adv.
