CHG Larger HDD win xp

Hi Guys a quick question, I need to upgrade the HDD for one of my pc's with win xp will i need to reactivate windows once I have chg the HDD, whch will be a much larger size then the one I have now and also What is the best solution to transfer files from One HDD to a new HDD without looosing any info, Basically I need to clone the new HDD so I dont loose any of my work and also leave planty of room for more work.Thanks.

Why not add it to your system and just transfer your files across.
That way there's no need to clone/reactivate.

Hi ashdav, you said "Why not add it to your system and just transfer your files across" but surely to transfer files across you will need an operating system alredy installed which will prompt you to reactivate the OS am I right?

I assumed you already had a working system with XP installed on C drive.
If you add another drive and format it, you can use it to store all your data files and keep the original C drive as is.
