Checking broadband speed

Is there a way I can check my BB connection speed? I doubt it is 10 Mps as Settings shows.
Also is ntl CorrectConnect any good?

I take it you're connected via an ethernet card. The 10Mbps shown is the ethernet speed. For your speed try click here

Correct Connect can be (and should be, in my view) uninstalled via control panel > add/remove programs.

click here for the most reliable speed tester I have found so far.

i've never got anything outta correct connect. Turned it on and it hasn't done anything for me

Thanks to you all. Interestingly one ntl techie told me not to turn on CorrectConnect as it slows things down. But I had to check with you guys first. Guess I won't bother with it.
