hi, each time i start xp i get an error message telling me to run "check disk" it is not written like that, but i think that is what it means, can you tell me where to find it..

if you have the xp disc go to start/run and type in sfc /scannow insert disk when it asks for it, type exactly as i have written.

Open the command prompt(in accessories) Type
CHKDSK /f (watch the space between CHKDSK and /)
hit enter. your computer will tell you it can't do it while it is running and ask if you want to do it next boot type "y" and hit enter then reboot.
