Hi. I am a Primary school teacher and I need to replace a couple of dead laptops. Currently we have XP Pro on all the computers on our system.

512 MB of Ram is a basic requirement (as these laptops will be linked with interactive whiteboards & will be used frequently by the teachers).

I'm not looking for amazing quality, just good reliability and value (I want to replace laptops in infant classes, so a good graphics card is less important).

Any ideas? Thanks

Dell are generally the most popular option in schools, as they are low cost and pretty durable. They also offer various options and packages for schools.

They currently have one for £229 click here though you will need to remove the extra sevice and warranty they offer to get to this price and will need to add £50 to get professional edition. It is also available with vista at the same price.
