Charging new laptop

Hi, My wife has just brought a new laptop and i am unsure about charging it. When the battery is fully charged is it alright to leave the laptop connected to the mains while she uses it? Or remove the battery which would leave a hole where the battery was and run it straight off the mains. Sorry if this sounds stupid.

I never remove the battery unless I want to 'get inside'.

It's perfectly OK to have the mains connected when the battery is fully charged.

Just leave it connected to the mains, no problem

Hi, it is ok to leave it connected while using it on the mains.

No such thing as a stupid question.

I would recommend that the battery is kept in the laptop whilst connected to the mains. This will do it no harm as there is a cut off for the battery when it gets fully charged.

Thank you all much appreciated.

Questions only sound stupid if you know the answer!

The answer might be simple, but the question's never stupid
