Changing words on blue strip at top of screen

Given a computer to friends, it is running 98SE. A few years ago I did a registry change which put Bald Eagle on the top blue strip instead of Microsoft. Can anyone remind me where I change the registry to get rid of it?

Start, Run, Regedit, enter.

Expan HKEY, CurrentUser, Software, Microsoft, Internet Explorer, Main.

Highlight Main, On the right scroll down to Window Title.

Highlight Window Title. Right click, Modify and change it to what you like. Click OK.

Found it works on my IE6 (XP pro) but I had to make my own 'Window Title' string as hadn't got one. I have put my own text up there now - instead of Microsoft's :))))

XP and others: How to personalize your version of Internet Explorer

Start > Run > regedit >press enter> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main (in the left pane)

If the 'Window Title' string is not in the list in the right pane you need to create it. Goto the Edit menu > New > String Value

Right click on this newly created string and rename it Window Title

Double click on Window Title and change the value to whatever text you wish and click on OK

Next time you open Internet Explorer your text will be in the blue title bar

to revert back to as was just delete the string value

What does the 'Window Placement' do?

It would seem that it is how IE 'remembers' what size you made it appear on screen so that it can open next time at the same size. This is only for when you have 'Stretched' it - not for maximised.
