changing a photos date tag

Hi, hoping someone out there can help me out.

I am scanning some old photos onto my hard drive and was looking to be able to change the date somehow to when it was taken. Is this possible? I hope so.

It is the 'created on' date I am hoping to change so that i can view my photos in proper time scale.

OK this works great, but when I try to view the photo in Picasa it still shows the original date for some odd reason. When i look at the properties is show the modified dates.

Would it be a fault with Picasa?

I'm not sure ... is there a way in Picassa to rebuild its index?

Exif stores 3 date/time value.

Date & Time taken

Date & Time digitized

Date & Time modified

So ideally you need to adjust all three. A quick check of FileDate Changer v1.1, suggests that you can only change one of these dates.

By downloading click here You will be able to adjust all three pieces of data.

It would look rather strange if you adjusted the date taken, but the date modified was an earlier date
