Changing Mouse (Mice!)

Hi All,
Some time ago Gateway sent me a replacement mouse after having some problems. Now I am not sure the original mouse was faulty and the replacement is playing up, i.e. sticking on vertical movement. If I revert to the original mouse do I have to switch the computer off? I have the original drivers installed and the mice are identical. Obviously it is not a big deal to switch off and change the mouse, I just want to be lazy and change back with the minimum of work.:-)

Regards,

Sapins

You must switch off the computer if it is a serial or ps2 mouse you can only hotswop a USB mouse.
